Developmental Issues

Print

These may include problems such as delayed milestones, inappropriate social skills, developmental regression and bed wetting.

Developmental delay may occur for many reasons and comprehensive assessment by a paediatrician and multidisciplinary team is recommended.

Bed wetting is a common problem, particularly at times of stress. A conservative supportive approach, whilst allowing the problem to spontaneously resolve, is recommended. Medical intervention may be useful if developmentally appropriate.
